Hon'ble Prime Minister Virtually Inaugurated Advance Level Research Centre (ALRC) at Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ghaziabad on 25th February 2024


Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Advance Level Research Centre (ALRC) at the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ghaziabad from Rajkot, Gujrat. This happened in presence of Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers, Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, Union Minister of State of Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar, Union Minister of State of Health & Family Welfare and Ministry of Tribal Affairs, virtually. General (Dr) V. K. Singh (Retd.), Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India was physically present at IPC, Ghaziabad.
Speaking on the occasion, General (Dr) V. K. Singh congratulated IPC on completion and inauguration of ALRC which will serve as a testament to IPC's commitment to advancing pharmaceutical research and development in India. ALRC will serve the nation as a hub for cutting-edge research, innovation, and training in the field of pharmacopoeia standards-setting, pharmacovigilance, and other allied areas. The ALRC is constructed at a cost of approx. 49 crores and is well equipped with modern infrastructure and facilities to support high-quality research and training programs. General V. K. Singh also took a tour of the ALRC and encouraged IPC scientists for carrying out innovative work to solve the key problems and obstacles in the pharmaceutical standardization which will make the basis for ensuring availability of high quality and safe medicines at affordable costs in India.
