The Induction Cum training Programme on Pharmacovigilance for Coordinators of Newly recognized AMCs & Pharmacovigilance Associates was organized by the National Coordination Centre for Pharmacovigilance Programme of India in two phases. In the first phase of the training programme which lasted for 2 days from 1st – 2nd July 2019. The feedback provided by coordinators is of immense use for commission. Most coordinators are of strong views that more interactive meetings to have continuity in scaling of skills of AMCs in term of new scientific tools i.e. the patients. The Secretary-cum-scientific Director, Dr G.N. Singh lauded the efforts and time given by individual & institution for attending this programme. The team of Dr Jai Prakash, Senior Principal Scientific Officer & Officer-in-Charge PvPI organized the programme very well.
The second phase of the training programme is meant for Pharmacovigilance Associates working across AMCs under the ambit of PvPI who is to really collect the information on ADRs and represent the implementation of drug safety-related information. The Pharmacovigilance Associates have been given field exposure by their visit to ESIC, Hospital, Faridabad. The training for Pharmacovigilance Associates is of 5 days duration commencing from 1-5th July 2019.
